The Southern University Information Technology Center has implemented a service desk system. This service desk system allows faculty, staff and students to request services from all the various technology components on campus. In order to request service, send a detailed email describing the requested service to email@example.com or call 504-286-5237. Whether entered via email or telephone, the requestor will receive an email with a service request number. This number allows the requestor to track the progress of the request. As the request is processed, the requestor receives emails up until the service request is completed. After completion, the requestor receives a survey which allows for rating the performance of the particular department. This system allows for accountability and aids in providing efficient service.
