A pair of Super Bowl Champions will hit the hardwood in the Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) Gymnasium for the 6th Annual Celebrity Basketball Game Friday, May 30 at 6 p.m.

The event, co-sponsored by the Jacoby Jones Foundation and the Robert Meachem Follow Your Dreams Foundation, will featuring local celebrities going head-to-head on the basketball court for a good cause. The headliners are Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver Jones, a New Orleans native and Abramson High School graduate, and New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Devery Henderson.

“SUNO takes a lot of pride regarding our role within the community,” Athletic Director Elston King said.  ”Jacoby Jones is someone who has been where our young people have been, has achieved tremendous success in his field, and comes back to his community to make it better through his foundation.  That is the type of student and citizen that we are trying to build here at SUNO and it’s great to host this event for that reason.”

The event will begin with a Dance/Cheer Competition preceding the game. The basketball game will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students with IDs and for children aged 6 to 17. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available through the Southern University at New Orleans Athletic Department, located on the second floor of the SUNO Gym, 6400 Press Drive, New Orleans, LA 70126.
