Yhann Plummer brings world-class experience to the Southern University at New Orleans Track & Field/Cross Country programs. Coaching in the shadow of a program that has produced 7 national championships throughout its history, he is responsible for a men’s team which has placed in the top 15 in two consecutive NAIA national indoor championships as well as the top 15 of the 2009 NAIA outdoor championships.
Plummer is a native of Kingston, Jamaica, and has represented his country in competition. In March of 2008, he competed in the IAAF World Indoor Championships where he ran 6.65 seconds in the 60 meters. So formidable is his speed that he ran on the same relay team as world record holder Usain Bolt. Plummer also made name for himself on the national level as an All-American at SUNO.
Plummer graduated from SUNO with both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Management Information Systems.
