To that end, the Human Resource (HR) webpages are designed to provide you with relevant information pertaining to our university policies, employee benefit programs, and ways in which HR is here to help you when assistance is needed. While the information on the webpages will not be able to acquaint you with all University policies and HR programs, they will help answer many of your questions. For questions that cannot be answered because you may have some which can only be addressed through your individual information and on a case-by-case basis, please feel free to visit the Office of Human Resources to discuss. We have listed contact information throughout our website so that you are directed to the appropriate individual.

Finally, as a part of the State Civil Service Program and the Southern University Board of Supervisors, make note that the information found on our webpages does not replace or change any of the regular Civil Service rules or Southern University Board of Supervisors’ policies.

MISSION

The mission of the Southern University of New Orleans (SUNO) Department of Human Resources is to provide services to the faculty, staff and external customers by developing and implementing employment, compensation benefits, employee relations, professional development, and human resources information systems, which will attract, enhance and retain energetic and highly qualified faculty and staff employees.
