Counseling Center

The purpose and mission of the Counseling Center at SUNO are to nurture each student holistically. The Counseling Center will provide support, counseling, and therapeutic services with the intent to reduce, prevent, and alleviate any feelings of discomfort or inadequacy, which may include but is not limited to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, hopelessness, guilt, shame, hurt, stress, abuse, etc.

This will be done by the delivery of counseling services and therapy from the university counselor through advanced interventions, evidence-based practices, and appropriate theories/approaches.

The purpose of the Counseling center is also to positively impact and enhance all students' mental health, personal development, and wellness. Students may attend individual and group counseling sessions.
