Dr. Kaltenbaugh holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University at New Orleans. Her professional career includes certification in English, grades 7-12; Ancillary Certification in State-Wide Program Evaluation; State BOE for NCATE; Louisiana Teacher Assistance and Assessment Evaluator; Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) Evaluator; and School Improvement Assessor. She has served as Assistant Dean in Graduate Studies and Associate Dean in the COE/HD.

Ms. Jones received her M.Ed from the University of New Orleans in Educational Administration and Research. She pursued additional undergraduate studies in Psychology, with concentrations in Mathematics/Physics. Ms. Jones has over seven years of teaching experience at the college and post secondary levels.

Dr. Allen-Jones received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has served as a presenter for the American Educational Research Association, Illinois Head Start Association, and the Chicago Metro Association for the Education of Young Children Conference. Upon her arrival to New Orleans, Dr. Allen-Jones served as a member of Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s Youth and Families Transition New Orleans Task Force in 2010.

Dr. Bachus earned both her Ph.D. and her M.Ed. in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans. She also earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instructions from Xavier University of Louisiana. In addition, Dr. Bachus holds a B.S. from Tulane University in Computer Information Systems and a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern University at New Orleans. Currently, Dr. Bachus is registered with the State of Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) Board of Examiners.

Interests: Technology, counselor education in higher education, and mental health counseling for children

Dr. Bellow earned her Doctor of Education Degree (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University in North Miami Beach, Florida. Her interest is in preparing pre-service teachers for the 21st Century classroom. In addition, Dr. Bellow has earned a Master of Arts Degree as a Reading Specialist from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. She is certified in gifted education, reading, and elementary grades 1-8.

Dr. Dickerson received her Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, with an emphasis in Statistics. She currently teaches the Early Childhood and Elementary Math and Science Methods Course and is the assessment coordinator for the COE/HD. She also serves as the Freshman Advisor for the COE/HD.

Mr. Johnson received an M.F.A. from the University of New Orleans. He teaches a variety of educational foundation, art methods and technology courses, supervises candidates’ field placements, and recently served as Interim Chairperson of Early Childhood and Elementary. Currently Mr. Johnson is enrolled in a Ph.D. program at the University of Wyoming in Instructional Technology.

Dr. Johnson earned his Ph.D. from Kansas State University where he was also director of one the computer center labs. His work experience began with General Motors, and he later worked in transportation in Houston, Texas.  He has served with several organizations, including the Orleans Parish School Board Audit Advisory committe and the University’s chapter of the American Association of College Professors. Dr. Johnson is also a Patricia Robert Harris Fellow, and a Summer Faculty Research Fellow at Stennis Space Center.  He is a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Executive Committee and the Faculty Athletic Representative representing the University with the NAIA.

Ms. Major earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from Southern University and A&M College. She is certified in elementary grades, special education, early childhood education, and Kindergarten. Ms. Major has over 30 years of educational experience with interests in educational leadership, administration, and curriculum and instruction.

Mrs. Mayo-Theus is a Doctoral Candidate in the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University where she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant since 2005.  She received her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science with honors from Grambling State University, and Mrs. Mayo-Theus received her master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the District of Columbia.

Dr. Robinson has over 30-plus years of experience in higher education which includes universities and colleges in her home state of Louisiana; Texas, Alabama, and Illinois. Dr. Robinson received her Ph.D. in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also a certificate of completion (30+) in Elementary Education. Dr. Robinson’s dissertation research focused on early field experiences of teacher education programs in Louisiana.

Dr. Wanga earned her Ph.D. degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Her dissertation research focused on The Impact of Supervisory Feedback on the Performance of Student Teachers and Their Effectiveness as Beginning Teachers. In addition, she holds a M.A. degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Education degree.
