Typing in Word
- Word may insert a wavy red, green, or blue underline beneath a word that you typed.
- Red underline indicates either a possible spelling error or a word that is not recognized by Word. Examples are proper names or places. If the word your typed is spelled correctly , but is not recognized by Word, you can add it to Word's dictionary so that it is not underlined in the future.
- Green underline Word thinks that the grammar should be revised.
- Blue underline A word is spelled correctly but does not seem to be the correct word for the sentence. For example, you type "their," but the word should be "there."
