CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

CETL GOALS

The SUNO Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has established the following goals:

1. To conduct workshops in e-learning and contribute to the implementation of the QEP,
2. To support teaching and learning assessment with workshops and seminars on the implementation of college/school and department Effectiveness and Student Learning Outcomes Plans,
3. To increase student learning, retention, enrollment, and graduation through teaching excellence,
4. To share access to excellent instructional practices and technology,
5. To build on faculty strengths to enrich professional development,
6. To support a committed faculty and staff through collegial mentoring and student-centered learning,
7. To develop an award system for excellence in teaching and learning, and
8. To continuously improve the physical structure of the CETL with appropriate facilities, technology, staff and other essential supporting resources.
